Fixed-term employment

This section addresses individuals who are planning to work in Austria for a fixed period of time, as well as employers hiring out or posting employees to Austria.

Three categories can be distinguished:

• Seasonal Workers (Seasonal workers in tourism and agriculture and harvest helpers in agriculture)
• Posting of Workers (foreign employers send their workers to Austria to fulfil an assignment)
• Transnational Hiring out of Workers (foreign employers hire out their employees to Austrian companies)
• Intra-corporate Transfer (managers, specialists or trainee employees are temporarily employed in an Austrian branch of their company or group)
